We are incredibly proud to celebrate the grit and determination of our team member, Shawn Jones, a Marine Corps Veteran, who crushed the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C. this past weekend!
Running a marathon requires the same discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting mentality that our veterans carry from their military service into their civilian careers. For Shawn, the 26.2 miles wasn't just a race; it was a powerful demonstration of conquering the next mission.
Shawn joined a massive, inspiring field, running past the nation's monuments, through the heart of the capital, and across the finish line with the same discipline and commitment that defined his time in the Corps.
This marathon is famously known as "The People's Marathon," but for a veteran, it's something more: a way to connect back to their roots, honor the service, and showcase the enduring esprit de corps that never fades. Completing this race is a physical feat, but doing it as a Marine veteran carries a deep emotional significance.
Veterans possess an unparalleled dedication that makes them invaluable to any team. We see that dedication every day in the work Shawn does here at Duraloy Technologies, and we watched it shine brightly on the streets of Washington D.C.
A huge salute to Shawn for this monumental achievement! Thank you for your service and for inspiring us all to tackle our goals, big and small.
