Duraloy announces the start of a major project to increase capacity, expand the sizes of tubes produced and improve material handling. The project involves the functional realignment of certain critical existing equipment as well as the addition of new, state-of-the-art casting and machining equipment.
New chemical analysis equipment has already arrived at Duraloy.
The new centrifugal casting equipment will be capable of producing petrochemical quality tubes down to 1.50" O.D.
The relocation of existing boring equipment and the addition of new state-of-the-art boring machines will allow Duraloy to offer a full range of tube sizes for all petrochemical applications as well as optimize and increase the output of these tubes.
The project started in the 3rd quarter of 2015, with equipment layout and installation modifications to be complete in the 3rd quarter of 2016, and commissioning and testing to be complete by the end of 2016.
